Whit's Crash...

Back in September one Saturday night, I was doing homework, cleaning the house, while my dear sweet husband decided him and our neighbor were going to go ride their motorcycles. I thought it would be good for just those two to go since I tend to hold them back from going really fast. Well...they left early afternoon and about sundown Whit comes running in saying, "Kristi we need to go to the hospital" Worried I looked up to see my husbands face like this:

I immediately jumped up grabbed the keys and off we went. I don't even think I brought my wallet I was so nervous! I thought for sure he broke his jaw (yes the jaw he had jaw surgery on a year and a half ago). They immediately admitted him and started cleaning his face off. What had happened was he was going around a corner gave his bike some gas (that's what you do when you go around corners so you don't fall over) and he didn't see the next corner that was right ahead. He had given too much gas and over the ledge he went and smacked right into a huge tree. He said he blacked out for a few seconds and when he came too he was under his bike but in the back so he thinks he flipped off and landed underneath the bike. I think his helmet saved his life because it was pretty banged up. He bent his handle bars on his bike and had a few scratches here and there, but is lucky to only have those few things happen. We went home with 2 stitches.

This is his side. It looked like someone came and scraped a chunk of skin off with a knife....pretty nasty.

And here's where he had to get stitches. I'm just thankful my husband is still alive because I would be devastated if I ever lost him!! Thank goodness he's stuck with me for eternity but still I would be very sad.
